Owain’s knowledge and love for sport has given him the versatility to fulfil a number of roles, including commentating.
Towards the beginning of his broadcasting career, when he started travelling around various sports grounds reporting on matches for the radio, he was asked if he would commentate at certain points. Without hesitation he took up the mic and loved it.

He regularly commentates on the United Rugby Championship and Welsh Premiership rugby for BBC Radio Cymru and S4C.

Also, Owain has commentated on filed hockey, football and a variety of other sports.
